De Montfort University's Fashion and Textiles Research Group academics have a wide range of specialist knowledge and expertise with access to a state-of-the-art textile research and testing laboratory.
This one-day workshop will provide delegates with the foundation knowledge of product performance and textile testing, with consideration for appropriate testing depending on end use requirements.
This short course includes:
· Introduction to the basics of textile testing and its role within the textile industry.
· The importance of product performance.
· Overview of basics of testing and relevant testing methodologies for the textile industry.
The course is open to any individuals or business looking for solutions in this area.
Specific role profiles that may benefit from this course include; Technicians, Buyers, Designers, Merchandisers, Technologists, Machinists and those working in the textile industry and auxiliaries.
Recommended prior knowledge
It is recommended that participants have prior basic knowledge of textile materials in terms of an appreciation for different fibres, fabric structures, and colouration of textiles.
